Young Man with Memory Loss Found at Ernakulam Railway Station, Receives Care from Theruvoram NGO and Authorities

In a heartwarming story of compassion and community support, a young man suffering from memory loss was found at Ernakulam South Railway Station and received care from an NGO and local authorities.

Around 8:00 pm on a recent evening, Suzzy Ma'am, an official working in the Railway Department, informed Theruvoram NGO about the young individual with mental disorders, specifically memory loss, who had been discovered at the railway station. Due to the late hour, the NGO members were unable to reach the site immediately.

The following morning, the social workers from Theruvoram NGO promptly arrived at the location and found the young man. In collaboration with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and railway police, the NGO members transported the individual to Eranakulam General Hospital via the 108 Free Service Ambulance.

After undergoing extensive treatment at the general hospital, the young man was transferred to Kalamassery Medical College Hospital for further care and observation. The challenge arose due to the nature of his condition - patients suffering from memory loss require the presence of relatives or designated bystanders to provide proper care and support during treatment.

This incident highlights the importance of community involvement and the role of NGOs and authorities in providing assistance to those in need. By working together, they were able to ensure the young man received the care and support he required during his time of vulnerability.
